NORTHERN TIP OF SCANDINAVIA

When I retired from Lockheed’s Advanced Technology Center in 1998, I took a NASA subcontract, for analyzing data for the PIXIE satellite project PIXIE ,  with me to the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) Physics Department. The PIXIE project involved a collaboration with the Space Physics Department at the University of Bergen, Norway PIXIE Norway.  As part of this collaboration, I visited the University of Bergen for a week of collaborative data analysis in the spring of 1999.

After the visit to the University, I flew to Tromsø in the far northern part of Norway.  I rented a car and after a visit to the city and its environs,  I drove through the northern part of Norway, Finland, and Sweden back to Tromsø for my return trip to California.

I plan to describe the trip with pictures as time allows.
