Handball
I was first introduced to the game of 4 wall handball in 1960 by Thomas Hughes, a fellow graduate student at Marquette University. After playing the game during the following years at the University of Alberta, Yale University, and Stanford University, I joined the Palo Alto Elks Club (early 1970’s) where there was a very enthusiastic cadre of handball players. It was here that I took the game very seriously and played at least 3 times a week and participated in many in-house as well as area tournaments. I had to give up the game in 1998 when I had an operation on my left wrist.
